Nymex crude oil dropped USD 1.73 to settle at USD 124.23 per barrel.
The Dow Jones ended 130.4 points higher at 12876.3, the Nasdaq shut shop at 2489, up 43 points. The S&P 500 closed 15 points higher at 1,403.
