Asian markets were trading mixed. China's Shanghai Composite was up 0.78% or 27.24 points at 3,512.86.
Japan's Nikkei gained 0.73% or 102.50 points at 14,080.96.
However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng plunged 0.29% or 73 points at 24,970.12.
Taiwan's Taiwan Weighted declined 0.57% or 51.47 points at 8,956.56.
Singapore's Straits Times was flat at 3,163.77.
South Korea's Seoul Composite was flat at 1,834.50.
